Marlon Davila
Love Child: The artist formerly known as Marlon Davila is a 1st Generation Guatemalan born in Princeton NJ. He studied his first love, Fashion, at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Continuing his education in Fine Arts he discovered his true love, Painting while attending Mercer County Community College. He graduated with honors and achieved the Jack Harris Memorial Scholarship for his Excellence in Fine Arts. He then attended Art Escape Italy in May 2017, a workshop with Hendrik Uldalen.
Love Child’s work is Influenced by surrealism, the bright vibrant colors of his Latin American culture, as well as the works of Edouard Manet, Edgar Degas and Picasso.
Infused in his art is his expression of present-day occurrences, Mayan ancestry and fashion. Through Love Child’s art he aims to open people’s eyes to another perspective on life and the world in which we live.
